Automatic installation

Automatic installation is the easiest option as WordPress handles the file transfers itself and you don’t need to leave your web browser. To do an automatic install of this plugin, log in to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the Plugins menu and click Add New.

In the search field type “Google Listings and Ads” and click Search Plugins. Once you’ve found this plugin you can view details about it such as the point release, rating and description. Most importantly of course, you can install it by simply clicking “Install Now”.

Manual installation

The manual installation method involves downloading the plugin and uploading it to your webserver via your favourite FTP application. The WordPress codex contains instructions on how to do this here.

What is Google Merchant Center?

The Google Merchant Center helps you sync your store and product data with Google and makes the information available for both free listings on the Shopping tab and Google Shopping Ads. That means everything about your stores and products is available to shoppers when they search on a Google property.

Which countries are available for Google Listings & Ads?

Learn more about supported countries for Google free listings here.

Learn more about supported countries and currencies for Performance Max campaigns here.

Where will my products appear?

If you’re selling in the US, then eligible free listings can appear in search results across Google Search, Google Images, and the Google Shopping tab. If you’re selling outside the US, free listings will appear on the Shopping tab.

If you’re running a Performance Max campaign, your approved products can appear on Google Search, the Shopping tab, Gmail, Youtube and the Google Display Network.

Will my deals and promotions display on Google?

To show your coupons and promotions on Google Shopping listings, make sure you’re using the latest version of Google Listings & Ads. When you create or update a coupon in your WordPress dashboard under Marketing > Coupons, you’ll see a Channel Visibility settings box on the right: select “Show coupon on Google” to enable. This is currently available in the US only.

What are Performance Max campaigns?

Performance Max campaigns are Google Ads that combine Google’s machine learning with automated bidding and ad placements to maximize conversion value and strategically display your ads to people searching for products like yours, at your given budget. The best part? You only pay when people click on your ad.

How much do Performance Max campaigns cost?

Performance Max campaigns are pay-per-click, meaning you only pay when someone clicks on your ads. You can customize your daily budget in Google Listings & Ads but we recommend starting off with the suggested minimum budget, and you can change this budget at any time.

Can I run both free listings and Performance Max campaigns at the same time?

Yes, you can run both at the same time, and we recommend it! In the US, advertisers running free listings and ads together have seen an average of over 50% increase in clicks and over 100% increase in impressions on both free listings and ads on the Shopping tab. Your store is automatically opted into free listings automatically and can choose to run a paid Performance Max campaign.

Does exactly what is says it does. Support is great and I found that every problem was either user error or contacting support helped provide a fix

Installing this will make your Elementor widget panel go into a loop on loading. I confirmed this today with the team at Elementor of which I have the pro version. I am going to switch to a better, more well rounded plugin as this one just does not work well. The catagories to link to Google are not even close in my case, the Elementor issue that took me a good day or two to diagnose and other issues make me want to ask if the coders even tested this?

Please do not make our mistake and find an alternative. Following an update of the plugin all of our 7000 products unsynced from Google Ads and Google Merchant. Despite repeated correspondence with the support team it appears they are unaware of what is causing the issue or how to fix it. Simply not fit for purpose.

This plugins is laking features which make it useless in most instances. For one there is no way to map or use GTIN/MPN numbers from Woocommerce, no guidance on what fields to use for that, and most products will be invalidated by merchant center without that. Also, there is no way to setup local inventory feed, no mention of it, and again no information on how to proceed so another Feed plugin is needed just for that, which at that point begs the questions why have two plugins installed? The only real use of this plugin is that you can sort of manage ads from the plugin, but again there are a lot of tasks that can't be done so still need to login to Google Ads. I have found in the 2 installations I tried to use it I had to uninstall it and go back to feed plugins that mapped GTIN to either SKU or a GTIN field and did local inventory feeds.

Doesn’t recommend if your products are variable. You’ll still need to corrections in Google Merchant Center on your own, including Product Images, Product Descriptions and other fields that matter. Tested some plugins and decided to uninstall and make this 1 star review.
