Nomenclature), the 6-digit HS code (Harmonized System) and, if you need it, the 10-digit TARIC code and the country of origin.<\/p>\n\n<p>WooCommerce has no field for tariff codes, yet EU shops need one per product:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Intrastat<\/strong> declarations in all 27 member states.<\/li>\n<li><strong>E-invoicing and tax reporting<\/strong>: myDATA in Greece (CN code mandatory on delivery notes from 1 January 2028), KSeF in Poland, NAV Online Sz\u00e1mla in Hungary, e-Transport and SAF-T in Romania, SAF-T in Portugal, FatturaPA in Italy, and Peppol \/ EN 16931 invoices across Europe.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Customs<\/strong>: export declarations, commercial invoices and CN22\/CN23 forms for parcels leaving the EU.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Taxinomo stores the code once and gives it to every one of them, in the format each system expects.<\/p>\n\n<h4>What you get, free<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>CN code on every product and variation<\/strong>, plus TARIC code and country of origin.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Category defaults and inheritance<\/strong>: set a code on a category once; products and variations inherit it unless you override it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The official nomenclature inside WordPress<\/strong>: the EU Combined Nomenclature 2026 in all 24 EU languages, with the full official description of every code. English and Greek are included; any other language installs in one click from the EU Publications Office. All searches run in your own database.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Ready for 2028<\/h4>\n\n<p>On 1 January 2028 the HS 2028 edition of the Harmonized System takes effect and Greece makes the CN code mandatory on delivery notes in myDATA. Taxinomo is updated with each new CN year and warns you about codes that will stop existing, so you can fix them in time.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Taxinomo Pro<\/h4>\n\n<p>Taxinomo Pro by Themesic, coming in 2027, saves time on large catalogues: AI code suggestions for one product or hundreds at once, an assistant that moves your codes to HS 2028 using the official correlation tables, an approval log for your accountant, and ready-made integrations with invoicing plugins and Intrastat exports. The free plugin stays fully functional on its own.<\/p>\n\n<h3>External services<\/h3>\n\n<p>English and Greek nomenclature data is included in the plugin, and Taxinomo sends no shop or product data anywhere.<\/p>\n\n<p>Other EU languages are fetched only when an administrator clicks \"Download and install\" on the Nomenclature tab. The plugin then sends one query (the CN year and the language code, nothing else) to the SPARQL endpoint of the Publications Office of the European Union, https:\/\/publications.europa.eu\/webapi\/rdf\/sparql, which publishes the Combined Nomenclature for Eurostat. The answer contains the official labels in that language (about 1 to 3 MB); codes and hierarchy are taken from the English file shipped with the plugin. The request contains no personal or shop data; as with any web request, the Publications Office receives the site's IP address. The EU's CN code (Combined Nomenclature) adds 2 digits, giving 8; it is the code used for Intrastat, export declarations and EU e-invoices. The TARIC code adds 2 more digits for EU import measures. Taxinomo stores the CN code and derives the HS code from it; the TARIC code is optional.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"how%20do%20i%20find%20the%20cn%20code%20of%20my%20product%3F\"><h3>How do I find the CN code of my product?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Open the product, go to the Shipping tab and click \"Search CN\". Type words from the product (for example \"ceramic tableware\") or the first digits of a code; Taxinomo shows matching codes with their full official description. The official wording is formal, so try the material and the use of the product rather than its brand name.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"is%20a%20suggested%20or%20searched%20code%20a%20binding%20classification%3F\"><h3>Is a suggested or searched code a binding classification?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. Taxinomo helps you find and keep track of codes, but the classification of your goods is your responsibility. For legal certainty, ask your customs authority for Binding Tariff Information (BTI).<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"does%20taxinomo%20send%20my%20products%20anywhere%3F\"><h3>Does Taxinomo send my products anywhere?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. All searches run in your own database. Only when you install a language that is not bundled does the plugin ask the EU Publications Office for that language's official descriptions; that request contains the CN year and the language code, nothing about your shop.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"which%20countries%20and%20systems%20are%20supported%3F\"><h3>Which countries and systems are supported?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Every EU member state: the CN code is the same everywhere.
